“Higher Criticism” Class

My English class is interesting. The official title is: English 108B – The Bible as Literature: New Testament. Each week I learn more about New Testament’s literary genre and structures, though I reject the higher criticism methodologies espoused by my professor. To make things worse, our required text, “The New Testament: A Historical Introduction to the Early Christian Writings” is written by Bart Ehrman, author of the misguided “Misquoting Jesus”.

Ehrman was recently interviewed on Issues, Etc. here and later responded to by the Academy’s director Dr. John Warwick Montgomery.
