iChat therefore iAm

Some would say its something out of the Jetsons, while others would consider it nothing new. About 3 years ago my wife and I got an iSight camera for our Mac. Using iChat and iSight has been described as “videoconferencing for the rest of us”. It is so easy to use. We also gave a camera for my mother-in-law/sister-in-law, so we could chat with them (they live in Washington/Oregon). The other night we showed my sister-in-law our son for the first time using the software. So cool! We also used it while in Europe to connect with family back in the States.

If we know you :) and you want to chat with us, you need only:

1. An iSight camera OR any video camera (digital).

2. ONE of the following messaging/email accounts:

a. America Online account (your account name is what comes before the “@aol.com”)

b. .Mac account (free trial)

c. AIM screenname (*free and easiest)

d. Google Talk–Gmail account (free)

3. A high-speed internet connection.

This works with Mac or PC. Then email us and let us know your account/screenname!

PS: Here is a demo of what Mac videochatting (on iChat) looks like: click here for demo.
