The Passive-Aggressive Tolerance Trick

In nearly every class I have attended at Santa Barbara City College and UC Santa Barbara, I have noticed a new definition of tolerance. My teachers look highly on the word, would prefer that religious disagreements in class would be silenced rather than explored, and in some cases bash Christians (and only Christians) for their intolerant, dogmatic views. There seems to be a general consensus among the professors to esteem liberal Christian theology far above historical, Christian orthodoxy.
I found this short but very well done work by Stand to Reason entitled "The Myth of Tolerance". Often what is used against Christians is something known as the “passive-aggressive tolerance trick.” If you have noticed a new definition of tolerance emerging in your community, be sure to check it out. (also watch the video in a previous blog entry “Moral Relativisim”).
