MIDLANDchapel

I graduated from a private boarding school called Midland School in Los Olivos, California. I lived there for 4 years (1995-1999). My dad graduated from Midland in 1970. Last October I created a website called MIDLANDchapel (www.midland-chapel.org). There is an actual chapel on Midland’s campus that was used for Christian services for quite some time. When my dad was a student there he had chapel services every night and twice on Sundays. In 1976 my mom and dad were married in the chapel by former headmaster and ordained minister Carl Munger.

Presently the chapel is used on Sunday mornings for a required service in which a student or faculty member shares on a variety of subjects (often about Midland’s influence on them, etc.).

The website includes many resources for students and encourages them to attend church in the local area while they are away from their home church. I just added a weblog to the site to get a discussion going. I have been encouraged by many people who voice their support for the mission of the site.
